Monster Hunter Tri stats reveal growing player base, massive numbers

Just how beloved is Monster Hunter Tri? According to reported player statistics, most players would like to marry it.

Coffee With Games reports in the 371 days since its release, 69,839 Monster Hunter Tri players have clocked up an average of 90 hours 25 minutes each, for a total of 6,313,210 hours played.

Intriguingly, the number of players and average total play time per player are both higher than last time the site checked the figures, in November 2010, suggesting the game's fanbase is actually getting more interested in it.

An average play session currently runs to 3 hours 26 minutes.

These figures only include players who use the Nintendo Channel's reporting function - so the real numbers are likely higher.

Monster Hunter Tri released on Wii in April 2010 and is part of a phenomenally successful franchise, notably on PSP.
