Telltale creating episodic series based on Law & Order

At this rate, the game's final level will be an anti-monopoly case in which Telltale is on trial for buying up all the licenses.

After becoming the digital purveyor of everything from Jurassic Park to Back to the Future to The Walking Dead, Telltale's added yet another big name to its episodic arsenal. This time, it's popular court drama Law & Order - more specifically, the Los Angeles spin-off, which is still taking its first wobbly steps out of season one.

According to the initial press release, the big bullet points are "interrogation," "criminal investigations," and - of course - some spicy "courtroom drama" to keep all that boring crime and murder from getting too stale.

Telltale's shooting for a still-vague "2011" release date on PC, Mac, consoles, and mobile. So everything short of the Etch-a-Sketch, basically. Apparently, more info is on the way "in the coming months." So we don't have to time travel backward to get it. Thank goodness.

Thanks, Joystiq.
