Pokémon Global Link launches April 13

Pokémon Black & White's missing network functionality, Global Link, will finally go live tomorrow.

According to its website, Global Link requires Pokémon Black and White players to be members of the Pokémon Trainer.

Joining grants access to Pokémon Dream World and Pokémon Global Battle Union. Dream World allows players to communicate with each other, find items and berries, and even catch new Pokémon.

Global Battle Union hosts tournaments, and allows players to track their performance in competitive matches.

The already-delayed Western version of Global Link was expected to go live on March 30, but was held off by the Japanese earthquake and tsunami, which prompted several games companies to temporarily close servers to conserve power.

Thanks, Kotaku.
