By John Callaham, Saturday, 9 April 2011 14:32 GMT

The team at Red 5 Studios has released its first developer diary video showcasing the upcoming free-to-play sci-fi shooter Firefall.

The four minute video, which you can see below, shows off gameplay along with footage of the first ever instance of allowing the general public to play the game at last March’s PAX East event in Boston.

Gamers who played Firefall at PAX East are shown praising what they got to play of the game, which has lots of Tribes influences.

Red 5 Studios finally announced Firefall last fall after staying in stealth mode for many years.

The game is currently set for its official launch sometime before the end of 2011.
