Ed Fries to keynote Nordic Game 11

Father of the Xbox Ed Fries is set to give a talk entitled "Creativity and Constraint" at Nordic Game 11.

Games Industry reports Fries was vice-president of publishing at Microsoft and co-founded the project which eventually became the original Xbox console.

Since parting ways with Microsoft, the executive has founded several start ups including Fireant.

Fries joins fellow keynote speaker and Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner in Malmö, Sweden from May 11.

This year's Nordic Game theme is "creativity". Confirmed attendees include Autodesk, CCP, Codemasters, Insomniac Games, Microsoft, NaturalMotion, PopCap, and Sony.
