Hans Zimmer to contribute to Crysis 2 soundtrack

EA's announced that Hans Zimmer will contribute to the soundtrack of Crysis 2.

The Dark Knight and Inception composer is no stranger to videogames: he worked on Modern Warfare 2's soundtrack.

Zimmer and his team teamed up with current composers Borislav Slavov and Tilman Sillescu to create the score for the shooter. He says he came in because of Crytek's "passion".

"I was drawn to Crysis 2 because of Crytek’s passion for the project and the world they created," said Zimmer.

"And I am very happy with the outcome of our collaboration."

Crysis 2 releases on March 22 and March 25 in the US and Europe for PS3, 360 and PC. A multiplayer demo released yesterday for PS3.
