GT Academy 2011 kicks off today

Sony's kicked off the 2011 European leg of the GT Academy.

The first stage sees you try to be one of the top 20 fastest drivers, plus wildcards, in the national section via setting times on a time-trial-based track in GT5. Be the two fastest players in national events in the UK & Ireland, France & Switzerland, Germany & Austria, Spain & Portugal, Holland and Italy and you'll move onto Race Camp.

The winner of it all will get the chance to race in the Dubai 24-hour International Race in a Nissan 370Z GT4.

For everyone who signs up, a new car will be added to your garage in the form of the Nissan GT-R with special livery.
