Nikkei: Japan's initial 400,000 3DS shipment sold out

Nikkei's said today that Japan received an initial shipment of 400,000 3DS units over the weekend, all of which have now been sold.

Nintendo plans to sell 1.5 million systems for Japan and 4 million worldwide by the end of Nintendo's fiscal year on March 31.

Japan was the first territory to receive the glassless 3D handheld last weekend.

3DS will release in Europe on March 25 and in the US on March 27.
