Starbreeze not using Unreal Engine 3 for Project Redlime

Starbreeze has confirmed it's not using Unreal Engine 3 for Project Redlime.

The Swedish studio confirmed last week it signed a deal with Epic to licence the technology. But now, it says it'll be using its own in-house engine for the project.

"The Redlime project will be using Starbreeze's own technology, and will not be using the Unreal 3 Engine," said a Starbreeze rep on its forums.

"The Unreal 3 Engine will be used in future projects."

Project Redlime is rumoured to be a reboot of the old Molyneux-made series from Bullfrog, Syndicate. It's thought it'll be shown off behind closed doors at GDC next week.
