Bit.Trip Flux dated, "not as punishing" as Beat

Gaijin Games has put a date on the final piece of the Bit.Trip series: expect CommanderVideo's return in just two weeks.

Game Set Watch reports Bit.Trip Flux will arrive on PC, iDevice and WiiWare on February 25 in Europe and February 28 in the US.

Flux is the sixth game in the series, following Beat, Core, Void, Runner, and Fate. Touted as a sort of homecoming for the series, the gameplay is similar to the Pong-like rhythm action of Beat - but without the teeth-grinding difficulty.

"To help tell the story of CommanderVideo's transition back to The Source, we wanted to convey the point that it is an unstoppable pull which draws him home. For this reason, there is no Game Over," a press release revealed.

"Bit.Trip Flux is meant to be played and completed in one sitting. It has also been designed such that most players will be able to fulfill that goal.

"Bit.Trip Flux, while difficult, is not as punishing in its difficulty as the previous games in the series; yet reaching the new Meta Mode and staying there is quite a feat, so the challenge is there for experts."
