AvP devs working on unnamed NGP title

Aliens vs Predator developer Rebellion is reportedly beavering away at a multiplayer, third-person shooter for the NGP.

Develop reports that Rebellion has adapted its Asura game engine for Sony's newly revealed portable, but isn't looking to license the tech, preferring to focus on in-house development for the new console.

The team has already created a fully-functioning demo of their untitled game, which they'll be showing off at upcoming industry events.

"The technology, design and art teams have worked incredibly well with Sony’s newest device," said Rebellion co-founder Jason Kingsley. "We have managed to make our engine fully functional, and looking great on the hardware in double quick time. We’ll be attending DICE and GDC to show what we have created and look for business partners.”

Develop states that the independent Rebellion intends to use the tech and its rapid creation as a lure for contract work with publishers.
