Back to the Future to get retail release

backtothefuture1

Telltale's confirmed it's to release its Back to the Future series at retail eventually following its download release.

The first episode launched last month with the second episode due to launch next month. But Telltale's head of publishing says retail will get its due eventually.

"Telltale’s strategy has always been to take our games to retail in as many markets that we can across the globe," said James Lamorticelli, speaking to MCV.

"Historically, we have released most of our brands at retail in varied territories and our intent is to continue to reach retail audiences with all of our future releases as well.

"Boxed product releases are like the ‘end of season’ DVDs that TV shows get, and customers are acclimated to buying at retail."

The series is currently on PC, Mac, iPad and PS3.
