Samurai Warriors: Chronicles screens show RPG features

Are you tired of looking at 2D screenshots of 3D games? Then, my friend, you are tired of games media for the foreseeable future.

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles has the advantage over many Japanese launch 3DS titles in that it seems like you might not be done with it fourteen seconds in. Have a look at these 19 screens and tell me I'm wrong.

You can check out the full gallery below, and sure, there's plenty of hacking and slashing going on - but see those menus? See those dialogue options? That's RPG-lite, that is, and we all know how hot that is right now.

The recently detailed Chronicles allows the player to create a unique warrior and roam Sengoku period Japan, eventually in a party of four with series-favourite characters.
