League of Legends admin dismissed for abuse of power

A Riot Games admin has lost his job after a power rush to the head apparently convinced him it was a good idea to verbally abuse a player, hand down an unfair ban, and livestream the whole affair.

VE3D writes that ex-admin PsionicHero has been accused of verbal abuse including racial slurs, as well as giving out an undeserved ban to the target of his vitriol.

As the Riot-employed customer service representative was in the habit of broadcasting matches on his JustinTV channel, there seem to have been plenty of witnesses to the reported incident, which exploded on the game's official forum. PsionicHero was promptly fired.

Director of community relations Steve "Pendragon" Mescon described the employee's actions as "inappropriate and outside the confines of Riot Games internal policy," and noted that Riot holds employees "to higher standards of discretion and professionalism".
