Halo's secret is "something for everyone"

Frank O'Connor, Microsoft's franchise development director, has said the secret of Halo's critical and commercial success is "that is has something for everyone."

Speaking to Xbox 360 Magazine, O'Connor listed Halo's many and varied virtues, beginning with "a deep, rewarding sandbox of engaging vehicles, cool weapons and challenging AI.

"A sci-fi adventure for fiction fans. A sense of mystery and wonder for folks who like that sort of thing. User Creation tools for would-be game designers, and of course, competitive, exciting multiplayer."

Right. Now that everyone's up to speed, we expect nothing but all blockbusters, all the time.

Thanks, CVG.
