The Cursed Crusade trailer hacks its way across the globe

The weighty, methodical dispatch of armoured knights is something many games struggle to do right. French developer Kylotonn have their eye on this gap in the market and intend to drive right through it with The Cursed Crusade.

Come on through the break and admire this trailer's capacity to make you wince in sympathy as people's limbs crumble.

As the Crusades are a bit of a touchy topic for everyone concerned, the game smartly navigates away from the more loaded issues by casting you as a cursed templar, apparently bent on beating down every other European knight you see. On this quest you'll roam from European bases through Zara, Constantinople, and possibly even to Jerusalem itself.

Atlus are behind the independent studio, and I think we can all admit to a little Demon's Souls-esque vibe in the trailer below which may explain their decision to publish - although the action seems far more frantic.

The Cursed Crusade is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in summer, although that's confirmed for the US only at this point.

Thanks, RPS.
