Cryptic at work on "Top Secret" project

Cryptic is up to its eyeballs in work already, what with Neverwinter, Champions Online, and Star Trek Online all on the go at once, but the ambitious studio apparently has an additional, mystery-shrouded project up its sleeve. Tantalising.

While fossicking through Cryptic's dramatic site revamp, the sleuths at Massively unearthed several pieces of evidence pointing to something altogether new and exciting.

Well, we say "unearthed" - it's pretty much just written down on the In Development page.

"Cryptic Studios is working on at least one top secret project for Atari. ... Like Neverwinter, our Top Secret work represents our continued commitment to diversify and reach beyond the boundaries of traditional MMORPG gaming."

Whatever it is requires new staff, too, with a handful of new openings turning up on the Careers page.
