Warner's confirmed to VG247 that F.E.A.R. 3 has been delayed into May from its previous release date of March.

The Day 1 horror shooter was due to release on March 22 and March 25 in the US and UK respectively, but that won't be happening.

A forum post mentioned the delay on a F.E.A.R. community site, but second confirmation came from Warner.

"The F.E.A.R. 3 launch date will now be in May 2011, as we look to deliver the best possible game for our fans," a rep told us.

F3 sees Paxton and Point Man on different sides, with creepy child mum Alma back in play.

Horror specialists John Carpenter and Steve Niles are also involved on the project.
