World of Tanks hits another record with over 74K people playing on one server

Looks like free-to-play WWII RTS MMO World of Tanks has hit another record, and this time it’s for having the largest number of concurrent users on one server.

Apparently yesterday, the game boasted 74,536 online players for the Russian release version. While a great number and one to be very proud of, this isn’t the same as having over 74K players running around on the same world like in a typical MMO, as the players are instead in the “same set of games” – explains RPS.

Still, it’s a massive number and a lot of people really seem to like the game. Who hasn’t dreamed of running around in a tank and demolishing things, ya know? announced earlier in the week the game had surpassed 1 million registered users.
