Former IGN editor joins EEDAR

US-based games industry market research firm, Electronic Entertainment Design and Research (EEDAR), has appointed as "director of editorial insights" former IGN staffer Erik Brudvig.

Brudvig spent five years with IGN, most recently as executive editor of the Xbox section, but beginning in the guides section.

Last year, EEDAR's Editorial Insights began providing industry bodies with analysis designed to maximise the potential of media relations, after two years in development within the company.

Brudvig's insider experience will indubitably prove invaluable to the fledgling division when it launches in February.
