Multiplayer servers for Stargate Resistance shut down on January 15

stargate resistance

Stargate Resistance servers will be shut down on January 15, according to a message posted on the game's official website.

According to the site, the game is also no longer available for purchase, so this is the last hurrah if you've got the game.

Earlier in the month it was announced Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment won back the assets to the game from Dark Orbit Games, who attempted to continue development after Cheyenne filed for bankruptcy earlier this year.

It won the court battle, but the battle to stay online has failed resulting in Cheyenne losing the license to the Stargate franchise.

This also means the MMO Stargate Worlds will probably never see the light of day, either.
