PopCap has announced a partnership with TAITO, subsidiary of Square Enix, to launch its dedicated mobile social game service Pop Tower to the Japanese market early next year.

The service will add an “all-new metagame with RPG elements” to PopCap titles Bejeweled, Chuzzle, and Zuma with one persistent leveling system.

New modes will be added, along with social elements and microtransactions by way of virtual goods and premium services.
