Bilson: Homefront 2 has "new features," "takes place on the other side of the Mississippi"

THQ core boss Danny Bilson's gone into detail mode on Homefront 2, even though the original hasn't even released yet.

Bilson told VG247 last month that the game's sequel was already planned out. At the IGDA Leadership Forum, he dropped some info on what it would be based on.

"The sequel has new features and doesn't even deal with the same characters," he said.

"It takes place on the other side of the Mississippi -- nobody knows what's going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit. It's very interesting stuff."

Bilson also said that THQ was hoping to do a mini-series for the game in the similar vein Red Faction is with Origins.

Homefront releases next March for PS3, 360 and PC.
