LOVEFiLM is to launch on PS3 on November 10 in the UK, as confirmed by the LOVEFiLM Affiliates blog.

The service will allow video streaming to British PS3s outside of Sony’s own Movie Store.

From the LA blog:

Good news for all LOVEFiLM members and PS3 owners – our free streaming service is launching on the PS3 on 10th November.

Film fans with a LOVEFiLM membership (including those on a free trial) will be able to stream 1000s of titles for FREE. They can also scroll through titles on the page and search through categories including ‘Pick of the Week’, ‘Most Watched’ and ‘Highest Rated’, so will never be short of a great film to watch.

  • Britain’s largest range of films and games – 67,000 titles and counting
  • FREE first class post for DVD, Blu-ray & Games rental
  • Thousands of films to stream instantly to your PC & TV and now PS3 (at no extra cost)
  • No late fees or fixed contracts – cancel anytime

Titles you can watch now for free on your PS3 include Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, I Am Legend, Beowulf, Let The Right One In, V For Vendetta and Mean Girls, all during your free trial.

The partnership between PlayStation and LOVEFiLM was confirmed in mid-October, with the latter describing the move as “the most significant extension to date of LOVEFiLM’s direct-to-TV rollout” to date.”
