Football Manager 2011 takes UK number 1, first weekend sales better then Pro Evo '11

Chart-Track just confirmed that Football Manager 2011 has entered the UK chart in the top spot, while Activision's latest Bond efforts have barely registered.

Sports Interactive boss Miles Jacobson tweeted the first week sales for the sim "beat" those of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011, despite its release on multiple platforms.

FM2011 only released on PC.

"Err - have just been told that our first weekend sales on one format beat Pro Evo's first weekend on multiple formats. Gulp."

The Goldeneye 007 reboot debuted at 13, and Bizarre's 007: Blood Stone only managed to place at 18.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii rose back up to sixth place thanks to the release of 25th Anniversary Red Nintendo Wii bundle.

Next week's chart winner is pretty much a given: Black Ops releases in the UK tonight.
