EA: MMA off to a "slow start", but still "optimistic"

easportsmma

EA MMA has gotten off to a "slow start", EA COO John Schappert revealed in the publisher's Q2 financial call last night.

However, the company still remains "optimistic" about the mixed martial arts fighter.

"MMA, or Mixed Martial Arts game, launched with a great roster of fighters and innovative online features," said Schappert.

"It's off to a slow start, but we are optimistic that this one will find an audience of fight fans over the holidays."

Announced as a new IP at E3 last year from EA Tiburon, EA MMA released last month for PS3 and 360.
