Report - Namco Bandai US lays off 90 staff

According to a report from VentureBeat, Namco Bandai has cut 90 staff in the US

The layoffs are due to a previous announced reorganisation "where it combined its separate mobile and online game businesses into a single division," according to the report.

VP of marketing Carlson Choi confirmed there were layoffs, but didn't give a specific number.

"We are partnering with external development studios out there because that is where the game business is going," said Choi.

"Our goal is to move into digital games and broaden to different platforms. The details are being sorted out now."

Good luck to those affected.
