New 360 dashboard update out tomorrow

Microsoft's confirmed it'll release the new Xbox 360 dashboard update on November 1. That's right, it's tomorrow.

The new update, which will ready 360 consoles around the world for the launch of Kinect, arrives before the motion camera goes on sale in the US on Thursday.

Improvements within the update include tweaks to Avatars, improved voice quality and the ability to use Kinect to navigate menus and also use an improved video chat service when it is connected to the system. Naturally.

There's also the new look to the dashboard itself as well.

You need to update to the new dashboard in order to use Live, just so you know.

Kinect's launched in the US on November 4, followed by a UK and European release on November 10.
