Sony starts sending out invites for PlayStation Rewards beta

psrewardsbeta

Sony has started sending out lovely emails asking folks to sign up for its PlayStation Rewards beta program, so you may want to keep an eye on your inbox.

Copies of the mail can be seen over on Platform Nation.

Earlier this week, Sony announced the new loyalty program after being rumored for over a year or so.

The program’s launch is scheduled for spring 2011, after which, registered PSN fans will be able to join for free.

During the beta phase, the program will be focused on rewarding activity from PS3 owners, eventually adding in PSP owners over time. So the more you play and buy, the better off you'll be we reckon.

SCEE has said the program is for the US only, but we'd be surprised if once its tested in America Europe didn't get something similar.

We'll keep asking about it.
