Fallout Hardcode mode offers “special reward”

Bethesda’s Fallout New Vegas is to award players who attempt its Hardcore mode, with a “special reward.”

According to the description, Hardcore mode greatly increases the challenge of the game. If enabled, stimpacks heal over a period of time and cannot mend broken limbs; Rad-Away removes radiation over time; ammunition has weight, and eating and dehydration is a constant concern.

You may turn off Hardcode at any point in the game, however if you play in Hardcore mode all the way to the end, you will be given a “special reward.”

What is it? We don’t know.

Fallout New Vegas is released on October 19 in the US and October 22 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
