Report: IPTV functionality coming to Xbox 360 November 7

360tomorrow

After promising folks at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show that Xbox 360 users would soon be able to use their console as a IPTV tuner, Microsoft may finally be delivering on its promise.

According to a report on Engadget, leaked slides and screenshots showing a November 7 date of IPTV functionality for Xbox 360 and AT&T's U-Verse have surfaced.

Each shot look legitimate, but in this day and age you never know.

However, with every exciting silver lining, there is a gray cloud ready to rain on your otherwise lovely parade: Users must have at least one DVR in the home connected to the service which can handle four streams of HD video - and - only 360s with a hard drive will support U-verse.

Still, it's a start, and something Microsoft has been wanting for ages and slowly but surely making good on: the ability to use your console for more than just games.

Thanks Gamespot.
