Kid Icarus: Uprising “could” feature online versus play

It’s been almost 20 years since we last saw Kid Icarus in his own game, but the angel who’s finally back from Nintendo’s outfield hasn’t missed a beat. After all, he’s packing console-level graphics, 3D sans-glasses, and – according to project boss Masahiro Sakurai – online multiplayer could be on the way as well.

“The online capabilities are currently being tested,” he told GamesMaster Magazine. “There could be some versus play but we can’t go into any detail. There are a lot of capabilities that expand on what was in the DS that people are taking advantage of.”

Could there be angel-based dogfights in our future? We sure hope so, if only because that sounds like an incredibly awesome/disturbing take on our childhood favorite “All Dogs Go to Heaven.”
