Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski has revealed that he is finally ready to turn his Nintendo Wii back on after this year’s E3

Speaking in an interview with Videogamer, the Gears of War man said that he was impressed with the Japanese company, saying that they won his vote this year for best of E3.

“I could beat the Microsoft drum all the time,” he said. “Deus Ex, I’m a big fan of that. I think that’s a genre that’s wide open.

“But I think Nintendo’s back. Nintendo strayed. Nintendo had an affair with everybody’s mom, and now they’ve come back to the marriage of the Mario and the Kirby and the GoldenEye fans.

“For me that’s good to see, because I dusted off my Wii for Mario Galaxy 2 and I’m hoping to keep the dust off of it.”

Nintendo did have a strong E3 compared to last year –  impressing with the likes of Zelda, Donkey Kong and of course the 3DS and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D.
