Rumor no more folks, Sega has announced Sonic Free Riders for Xbox 360 and Kinect.

Set for release this holiday, Sonic Free Riders has full-motion body control so that you can "twist and turn your way through a range of visually stunning courses in an action-packed Sonic experience unlike any other", said the released.

Players will be able to create a fully customizable hover board or bike and choose either a Sonic character, or use your own Avatar to ride your vehicle.

Apparently, you can use moves like "throwing, shaking, or swinging your arms to launch your items" and there will be both a single and multiplayer mode.

Kinect is out on November 4 in the US.
