AHA teams up with Nintendo for a healthy heart

aha-nintendo

The American Heart Association and Nintendo announced yesterday a initiative involving the Wii line of products that help promote a healthy lifestyle.

So much for giving the world more details on the Vitality Sensor, eh? Thank Merriam-Webster for words like "might", "seems", and "likely".

According to the AHA, nearly 70 percent of Americans don't partake of the recommended 60 to 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week, and to get these folks off their duffs, the AHA feel that Nintendo's Wii Fit is just the trick.

To promote this, Wii, Wii Balance Board, Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports Resort will be shipping in AHA-branded boxes, soon .

Still, there may be hope yet that Nintendo and the AHA will still get together on the Vitality Sensor when it's finally shown to the world - after all it does monitor your pulse and such.
