Grateful Dead six pack and the Smithereens hit Rock Band next week

Harmonix and MTV games announced today that a six pack of songs from the Grateful Dead and singles from the Smithereens will hit Rock Band next week.

This is the first time that the Smithereens have been available for the music game, and two of the band's biggest hits - A Girl Like You, Only a Memory - are what you'll get.

Too bad Blood and Roses isn't one of them. It's got a very decent bass groove to it.

Here's the Grateful Dead tunes you can get individually or through a pack, which will run you $9.99/£4.99/€7.99/800 MSP:

  • Beat it on Down the Line
  • Cumberland Blues
  • Scarlet Begonias
  • Throwing Stones
  • Touch of Grey
  • U.S. Blues

All will be made available on May 18 & 19 in the US and Europe, respectively.

Each song will run you $1.99/£.99/€1.49/160 MSP/200 WP.
