EA trademarks Darkspore

Another day, another gaming trademark filed.

This time, it's EA and the trademarks filed are for something called Darkspore.

Three filings popped up on the USPTO  website, for "online computer games", "hand held units for playing video games", and "downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices", which, per usual, also cover toys, film, and general merchandise pertaining to the property.

The filings were outed by Superannuation (via GameSetWatch), and it's being speculated that it pertains to the Spore title announced for consoles and PC during EA's financial results back in February.
