Final Fight: Double Impact requires net connection on PS3 to play

You may want to sit down. This probably isn't going to go well.

People on the PS forums who have bought the PSN version of Final Fight: Double Impact are claiming that they are unable to play the game offline, saying it requires an internet connection.

Strangely enough, this doesn't seem to affect the 360 version of the fighter at all, according to Joystiq, even when you're signed off Xbox Live.

Tough love, PS3 lot.
