New MMA vid features grunting, punching

mma3

Shiny, sweaty men being very rough with each other. Let's get it on.

EA's put out a new MMA trailer, showing various fighters from the series - King Mo, Dan Henderson, Jake Shields and other people we've never heard of - standing around, looking hard and kicking the s**t out of each other. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. In reality, though, no one has to do this at all. People do it because they like doing it and they get paid. Or one or the other. Fighting for money is probably about as unnecessary as unnecessary can be, unless you're a human pitbull, or were born with hammers for hands and a solid plate of bone for a face. Like, whatever.

While being symptomatic of a general crumbling of societal values back to virtually Neanderthal levels, MMA looks frickin' sweet, bra. It's EA Sports' shot at THQ's UFC cash cow, and looks to be sweating up nicely. It's out later this year for 360 and PS3.

There's some new shots here, too.
