Musician mentions "Sony" and "LittleBigPlanet 2" in tweets

littlebigplanet16

A tweet from musician Ochre has said he's licenced a song for an upcoming first-party PS3 game. The game in question: LittleBigPlanet 2.

The tweet in question seems to have been deleted since then, but LittleBigLand screencapped the tweet before being removed.

"Pleased to announce the licencing of 'Infotain Me' to Sony for Little Big Planet 2 on PS3," the tweet reads.

This isn't the first time LBP2 has been mentioned this year, however.

During GDC, which had seen Sony announce it had bought LBP developer Media Molecule before the event, sources told VG247 that the game was in development and would absolutely be coming this year, although it's unknown if it would be a retail or download release.

Two weeks after the San Francisco event ended, another report emerged that said that a Sony Benelux rep said that LBP2 was on the way with added Move support.

Media Molecule had previously said that there were no plans for a Sackboy-filled sequel, although studio heads Kareem Ettouney and Mark Healey were rather stern about confirming a new title at Develop last July.

Whatever happens. E3 should hold the answers when Sony's press conference takes place on June 15.

Thanks, Syrok.
