Two more devs leave Infinity Ward

Infinity Ward

Another day and more departures at Infinity Ward, with two more people now leaving the Modern Warfare developer.

The studio's lead animator Mark Grigsby and lead character animator Paul Messerly are the latest to leave the studio.

Grigsby was at IW for five years and even voiced one of the main characters in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, while Messerly was there for eight years, moving from the studio which formed Infinity Ward, 2015 Inc.

The latest departures bring the count of people no longer at the studio since the beginning of last month to 12, including the sackings of ex-bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West.

They both announced this week the formation of Respawn Entertainment, as well as a deal with EA Partners to publish the developer's first game, although Respawn will maintain full control over the IPs it creates. Get the full story on Respawn from Monday's announcement here.
