Green Day: Rock Band gets full American Idiot album

Buying Green Day: Rock Band come summer? Good news for you, then: American Idiot will be included in its entirety.

And we mean the full 12 track album that includes Jesus of Suburbia, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Boulevard of Broken Dreams and more in full, and not just the song "American Idiot".

The album will be the first to be included in a retail Rock Band game ever since the series' inception in 2007.

"We wanted to have the entire 'American Idiot' album in the game,"project lead, Chris Foster, told G4. "It’s like one album that’s meant to be heard and played as one unit. So you have the ability to do that. It’s the first time we’ve shipped any game with a full album involved in it."

Awesome stuff, kids.

Green Day: Rock Band releases on June 8 worldwide for PS3, 360 and Wii.
