Bleszinski: No "weaponry" for Fallon announce

gearsofwar2a10

Epic Games lead designer Cliff Bleszinski has said the reveal of his new project next Thursday won't involve a chainsaw.

He tweeted earlier: "I shall not say "bigger better blah blah" or carry any weaponry for the Fallon announce."

If you'll remember, Bleszinski unveiled Gears of War 2 at GDC 2008 by ripping through a piece of the set with a Lancer chainsaw, saying the game would be "bigger, better and far more badass than the original".

Whatever the game is, it will be announced on Jimmy Fallon next Thursday, April 8: bang on the same date Edge said a debut Gears 3 teaser would go live.

And remember what else Bleszinski said at that Gears 2 reveal at GDC 08: "It's a funny thing about rumours on the internet: once in a while, they're actually true."
