SEGA formally announces The Conduit 2, proves it with screens

theconduit2

SEGA has formally announced The Conduit 2 over on its European site, and has slapped up a few nice looking screens for it - one featuring four-player split-screen.

Not that there was any doubt about the existence of The Conduit 2 after the eight-page spread in Nintendo Power that spilled across the net yesterday. Still, it's nice to see more than just scans and second hand reports.

Exclusive to Wii and slated for fall, players are tasked this time around with stomping an alien invasion via either single-player, online multiplayer or off and online co-op modes.

The game also introduces the new co-op mode, Team Invasion, where players will be able to battle side-by-side with up to four friends on the same screen - thus the split-screen image on the site - or online.

To help with tactical maneuvers and bossing folks about, the game will support Wii Speak.

You can find out more about it through here, and check the screens out as well.
