Miyamoto: 2010 "going to be really great" for Nintendo

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Sony and Microsoft should just give up now: Nintendo has the best first-party line-up for this year, making 2010 "really great" for Wii, according to Shigeru Miyamoto.

"This year's going to be really great for the hardcore Nintendo player, especially with Super Mario Galaxy 2," he said to CVG.

"I really want many households to be able to have a hands-on experience of Mario Galaxy 2. I didn't have any involvement in Metroid Other M, but it is on its way. And also we are working on the New Legend Of Zelda for Wii."

Mario Galaxy 2 is due on June 11 in Europe, with a Q3 release for Metroid: Other M in the region - in the US, it's down for June 27 - while The Legend of Zelda is due by the end of the year, according to Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.
