Standalone 360 250Gb HDD to release on April 16 in UK

250Gb 360 HDD

Microsoft's confirmed an April 16 standalone release for the 250Gb 360 HDD in the UK.

It'll retail for £79.99, a company rep told MCV.

Microsoft announced yesterday that it's to release the HDD as a standalone product after including it in several bundles, the most recent being a Final Fantasy XIII pack. It's now available in the US.

The firm's said in the past it didn't have any plans to release it separately outside of bundles, despite a previous release in Japan.

The MCV report has no mention, however, of whether or not the 120Gb HDD will be reduced in price in the UK. We'll ask.
