Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC update drops SecuROM DRM

bfbc2

PC gamer? SecuROM kicking your ass constantly? Well, you can kick its ass for once: the latest Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC patch has dropped the DRM software from the game.

However, the move only affects those that bought it from Steam, so if you bought it at retail or anywhere else, you're out of luck, kids. Sorry.

It's the latest title from EA to have the software either cut or not included in the game, with Spore, Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins either all dropping it, not having it or just a plain old disaster.

Thanks, Kotaku.
