Green Day: Rock Band gets June 8 worldwide release

Harmonix has announced Green Day: Rock Band will release worldwide on Tuesday, June 8 for PS3, 360 and Wii.

Also announced is that you can export the full 47 track library from the game over to any of the main Rock Band games, including the just-announced Rock Band 3, which will set you back $10. If you pre-order the game, however, you can do it for free.

The spin-off, announced in December, will also feature a special edition, in where it will feature the game, special packaging, six free tracks worth of DLC and the export feature.

Unlike previously, there doesn't seem to be no plans for a band bundle for this one, where as before with past Rock Band titles and last year's release of Beatles: Rock Band had.

Featuring the three-part vocal harmony technology Harmonix introduced with the award-winning The Beatles: Rock Band, Green Day: Rock Band gives players access to an incredible setlist of 47 tracks that span the band’s career including “Brain Stew,” “Jaded,” “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “American Idiot,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.” All 47 tracks are fully exportable, providing players with the opportunity to play the songs in Rock BandTM, Rock Band 2TM and the recently announced Rock Band3! Green Day: Rock BandTM features an export fee of $9.99 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system. The export feature is not available for the Wii system.
