According to a report from MTV Multiplayer, Blur is to become the first game ever that will let Silver Xbox Live members have permanent access to a full game’s multiplayer.

The article says members of the lower tier of Live can challenge each other in the racer, although if they can race with Gold members remains to be seen.

As well as that, the game’s Twitter system is free to use without Gold or Silver. When the service was introduced last October onto 360 itself, only Gold members could use the service.

Just to be sure, we’ve sent an email out to Activision to confirm this.

The game was confirmed yesterday to get a May 28 release in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC. A 360-exclusive multiplayer beta kicks off on Tuesday.
