Mass Effect 3 release window will be one that maximizes "quality"

When Mass Effect 3's released, it will be a release window that maximizes "quality" and "commercial success", BioWare co-boss, Ray Muzyka has said.

Speaking with CVG, Muzyka told the site that the game has yet to be announced, but stated more or less that the conclusion to the trilogy will be given the time needed to produce a quality title.

"I don't think we've announced the timing for the third one yet but I can tell you the team's already working on it," he said.

"Our goal is to get it out in a time frame that can maximize the quality for our fans, maximize the commercial success for the company and just make sure we do the right thing overall for the long term for the franchise."

Mass Effect 2 hasn't been out a full month yet, and there's already been talk of ME3, thanks to different interviews with Casey Hudson here and here, where the project manager reveals it's currently being worked on.

Whether it's released in 2011 or 2012, the public will snatch it up like hotcakes at a free breakfast. Those wanting proof, should look no further than the UK charts and EA's internal sales figures for Mass Effect 2.

Still, Muzyka may announce something more come E3 this year. One can only hope.
